Hoiana Shores Golf Club to host inaugural BMI Asia Pacific Program, advancing club management excellence in the region
Da Nang, Vietnam – 14 June 2026 – Hoiana Shores Golf Club, one of Asia's leading golf destinations, is proud to announce its partnership with the Club Management Association of America (CMAA) as the official host venue for the inaugural Business Management Institute (BMI) Asia Pacific Program, a landmark initiative designed to elevate professional standards and develop future leaders across the golf, club and hospitality industries.
The announcement follows another milestone year for Hoiana Shores Golf Club, which recently hosted the prestigious Women's Amateur Asia-Pacific Championship. The event received widespread recognition from The R&A, the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation (APGC), the Vietnam Golf Association (VGA), international media and elite amateur players for its championship course conditions, world-class facilities and exceptional service.
Developed by CMAA, the world's leading association for club management professionals, the BMI program is widely regarded as the industry's premier education pathway. The curriculum covers key areas including leadership, governance, finance, operations, membership engagement and strategic planning, equipping participants with the skills needed to lead modern clubs successfully.
The BMI program also forms an important part of the pathway towards achieving the prestigious Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation, one of the most respected professional certifications in the global club industry and a recognised benchmark of leadership and operational excellence.
Following strategic discussions between Hoiana Shores Golf Club and CMAA representatives, including Jason Koenigsfeld and Nick Shan, both organisations identified a strong opportunity to bring this internationally recognised education platform to club professionals across Asia Pacific. The program has been tailored to address the unique opportunities and challenges facing clubs throughout the region while providing access to global best practices.
As the official host venue, Hoiana Shores Golf Club will welcome industry professionals from across Asia Pacific for the inaugural program from 17–21 August 2026, marking an important step forward in strengthening professional development opportunities within the regional club industry.
To support the successful delivery of the program, respected industry veteran Aylwin Tai, who brings more than 20 years of club and golf management experience, will work closely with CMAA and regional stakeholders throughout the initiative.
Alan Teo, Chief Executive Officer of Hoiana Resort & Golf, said: "At Hoiana, we believe great clubs are built by great people. Hosting the inaugural BMI Asia Pacific Program reflects our commitment not only to delivering world-class golf experiences, but also to supporting the development of future industry leaders across the region. We are honoured to partner with CMAA on this important initiative."
The BMI Asia Pacific Program is endorsed by both The R&A and the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation (APGC), further reinforcing Hoiana Shores Golf Club's commitment to excellence, innovation and the long-term growth of the game throughout Asia Pacific
